As the designations following my name indicate to those in the profession, I was, and am now retired from the insurance profession.
I was a state manager for a large insurer, and developed the W.Va. market for the company from virtually nothing to well over $100 million in annual premium at the time of my retirement.
As the photos show, I have always been a Chevy fan. The bottom of the two picctures shows me at about the age of 18 or 19 in my first car, a 1952 Chevrolet 4 door Deluxe, black in color. it was parked in from of my home in a very rural part of W.Va. At that time i was employed as a teacher.
The top picture shows me at about the age of 60, in the 1952 Chevy Deluxe 4 door sedan that I now own, which is a replica of that first one, except for the color. it is green instead of black.
And, being an originalist, and very much interested in preserving the past and my own heritage, as well as that of Chevy, the second picture is taken in the exact spot where the first one was taken.
Incidentally, these photos, along with others and a complete write-up, appeared in the June 2004 issue of Generator and Distributor, and my car is pictures on the back cover.
